Lely Astronaut A3 robotic milking system

Embrace the future and... succeed
Developed to enhance productivity, reduce overall operating costs and increase profitability through better herd management: the Lely Astronaut A3 robotic milking system.
Embrace the future and... enjoy
Milking with the Lely Astronaut A3 means you have more time but in addition also far more flexibility.

Lely X-link touch-screen interface is equipped with up-to-date communications and control systems such as CAN bus technology, Ethernet barn network and a self-diagnostic system. A user-friendly X-link touch-screen to quickly and easily access your data. The adjustable screen meets prevailing ergonomic requirements. The Lely Astronaut A3 arm combines three dimensional movements with an extended reach ensuring efficient connection to teat cups to both high and low udders. Due to its rugged construction, combined with gentle pneumatic characteristics of the system, the invulnerable robot arm can withstand all stresses that a cow might exert on it. The Lely MQC provides vital information about milk quality and udder health by measuring - per individual quarter - essential parameters such as milk colour, conductivity, milking times, dead milking times, milk volume (yield) as well as milking speed. The longest life span: the box is constructed with state-of-the art materials such as stainless steel and carbon fibre, and features greased bearings. Maximum cow comfort: a spacious box with a soft rubber floor. The position of the cow is measured touch-free by the Gravitor weiging floor. A stress-free environment for the cow, which allows the cow to be milked in the optimal position. The revolutionary 4Effect pulsator system ensures tailor-made milking of the cow; it is mounted in the best position, close to the teat cups. Milking based upon the actual quarter milk flow of the 4Effect pulsator makes it possible to achieve the optimal square / rectangular milk flow profile for each individual cow. The TDS teat detection sensor scans for the quickest possible connection and minimal arm movement via its 3D scanning technique. The large glass area of the TDS is automatically cleaned with water and air along with every short rinse of the Lely Astronaut A3 milking robot. The milk separation system that easily separates colostrums and abnormal milk. The role of the dairy farmer is changing from a skilled craftsman doing all the farm work to a manager and leader. T4C management system gives the dairy farmer total control over his herd, presented in simple and well-organised display screens, including extensive graphic possibilities. Its simplicity allows the dairy farmer to operate the system with ease and assurance. Due to the special construction (load cells in the floor), cows can be weighed each time they visit the robot. The weight of the cow provides valuable information on the animal's condition, health and feeding. If an animal looses too much weight in a certain period, this is registered on the attention list of the T4C management system. A true breakthrough in the control of milk quality and udder health: MQC-C, the first available on-line system to determine somatic cell count per quarter. This tool allows you to establish yourself at what time and for which cow cell count measurement is required and as such MQC-C is a unique tool to achieve optimum cow (udder) health. The Pura steam cleaning system minimizes the risk of remaining milk residues. This system cleans the teat cups with heated steam directly after milking, to be followed by only a short rinsing with plain water without the need of using any detergents.
