Lely Tigo R Combi

In order to make even better use of the high capacity of loader wagons, the Lely Tigo R Profi models have been developed as 'dual purpose wagons' – the R Combi. These models make excellent silage transport wagons too. Thanks to this flexibility, there is no longer any need for investment in an extra silage trailer. The steel superstructure, which has no tubular bows or tension ropes, is perfectly capable of withstanding the loads imposed by heavy silage. Using the hydraulically foldable bulkhead and the feed channel cover, the Tigo R Combi can be turned from a loader wagon into a silage transport wagon within minutes.

Oil immersed rotor drive

The rotor is directly driven via an oil immersed drive. Direct drive means optimum transmission of power from the tractor to the loader wagon. A cam-type clutch protects the drive line against overloads. This maintenance free drive ensures many years of service at minimal cost.

Heavy-duty floor chain for rapid discharge

Four high-grade annealed chains, 10 mm in diameter with an overall breaking strength of 50 tonnes, and offset carriers ensure reliable loading and discharge action. A 2-stage hydraulic motor with a rapid motion option is a standard feature on all Lely Tigo R Combi models.

Lely Tigo RD – perfect discharge

Every Tigo R Combi is available as an RD model with three discharge rollers. Three powerful and enclosed discharge rollers spread out both maize and grass silage precisely and ensure that crops are distributed evenly. All RD models contain an automatic discharge system and are fitted with a double wide-angle PTO shaft.

High Performance Chassis

All Tigo 60 R Combi machines are equipped with a bogie tandem axle unit. The Tigo 70 R Combi models always contain a hydro-pneumatic chassis with automatic levelling. A hydro-pneumatic tridem axle unit controlled by forced steering can also be selected as an option with this series, which provides a permissible total weight of up to 30 tonnes. Load distribution and generously-dimensioned tyres ensure that the machine is gentle on the ground whilst providing maximum driving comfort.

ISOBUS – maximum ease of operation

All Tigo R Combi wagons are equipped with the newly developed ISOBUS control system. Using the ISOBUS onboard computer, the wagon can either be operated by the control unit included in delivery or from the tractor terminal. The ISOBUS control provides the driver with additional functions such as:

• Speed dependent locking of the steering axle.
• Level control with hydro-pneumatic suspension.
• Weighing system (optional).
• Integrated diagnosis system.

Optimum intake with 7-row pick-up

The non-steered pick-up on the Tigo R Combi models has 7 tine bars with tines spaced 54 mm apart. This maintenance free pick-up consistently delivers clean work due to the fine tuning of the pick-up rotational speed relative to that of the chopping rotor.

High-performance chopping unit

The Tigo R Profi chopping unit can be operated in two groups and is fitted with 40 knives. This results in a minimum chopping length of 37 mm. The 25-mm wide edges on the rotor tines and the resulting narrow chopping gap provide a highly precise chopping action. The knives are individually protected with the Trimatic knife protection system.

Automatic loading system

The automatic loading system ensures optimum loading of the wagon so that each journey made is maximised. The chopping rotor thrusts the crop upwards until a sensor in the roof is activated. The floor then shifts the load by a small amount at a time towards the rear where a second sensor at the tailgate detects that the maximum load has been taken on board and reports ‘Wagon full’. At the same time, the driver will receive an acoustic signal from their operator unit.

Robust superstructure

The heavy duty all steel superstructure has no tubular bows and tension ropes. Even the pre-compaction wall required for loader wagon operation does not have to be removed. By hydraulically folding down the front wall and covering the feed channel, the R Combi can be converted from a loader wagon into a silage transport wagon within minutes.

Fold-down bulkhead

On the Tigo R Combi, the top section of the bulkhead can be tipped forward hydraulically using the push button control monitor in the tractor. This makes it easier for the forage harvester to load the wagon at the front when starting in a field. In addition, the operator has a good view of the load bay.

Newly develope tailgate

The newly developed tailgate is tightly sealed, safe-guarded against overloading and is fitted with a stable and secure closing system. The wagon is opened and closed electro-hydraulically.

Blanking off the intake duct

The cover plate on the Lely Tigo R Combi can be quickly and easily installed and removed without the use of tools. The sizeable access hatch in the side wall of the wagon ensures that the intake duct is easily accessible.
