Our experience can’t be bought, that’s why you get it for free!
You work with our machines in the great outdoors: an environment that is greatly influenced by the soil, weather and other external factors, and that presents new challenges every day, like driving over a big stone in the grass, or a treestump, just when you notice that a thunderstorm is brewing.
If you run into a problem that even a Lely machine cannot cope with, it is essential that any breakdowns resulting from damaged parts are limited to an absolute minimum.
This is why our dealers are geared to responding rapidly, so that your activities can be resumed as soon as possible. They hold stocks of the most essential parts and boast the expertise needed to get the machine in question performing optimally again. Furthermore, they can rely on the back-up of the Lely organisation seven days a week.
So opting for Lely entails more than just choosing a machine. We ensure that your forage harvesting goes smoothly.

Lely Attis PT 160 really suits Australian farming conditions

Lely Attis PT 160 really suits Australian farming conditions
Dairy farmer, David Moore has 217 ha of ridge country in Dungog, Australia and produces 500,000 liters of milk a year with eighty Holstein Friesians cows. David cuts and bales his own hay and silage and is also contracting for three of his neighbours. The Spring/ Summer months can therefore be virtually ‘non-stop’.
David has invested over $ 100,000 in Lely equipment; buying a spreader, a rake and the Lely Welger V160. The latest addition to his machinery portfolio was the Lely Attis PT 160 last October. “It was really about updating my existing machines and having reliable equipment that is easy to maintain,” David said.
The Lely Attis PT 160 is a versatile heavy duty fully automatic wrapper according to David. The quality, reliability and strength of his existing Lely machines helped David make his decision, when choosing the Lely Attis wrapper. He was also impressed with the service he received from both Lely Australia and his local dealer – Reliance Motors. “They have really given me great after sales service and I am really impressed with Shane’s (Regional Manager - Northern Australia red.) product knowledge and the advice he has given me. He continues to give me good reliable after sales service.” David said.
The Lely Attis PT 160 is a trailed wrapper that suits Australian farming conditions and is the perfect machine for contractors and medium to larger farms. It has a robust frame with a fixed axle and wide tyres.
David cuts silage during the months of October and November. Depending on the season, his hay baling can sometimes continue through to March. David is impressed with how easy it is to operate the wrapper. He especially likes the +1 button as sometimes the last bale of the field can be a bigger size and it gives him the option of adding more revolutions to ensure the bale is completely wrapped.
A mechanic by trade, David does all his own servicing of farm machinery. “I have really found that Lely machinery is very well built and is also built to last,” he said.
