Highest tedding output for three-point linkage machines

Highest tedding output for three-point linkage machines

Quite often, three-point linkage tedders are used with relatively large tractors. Their lifting power is ample and the driving power poses no problems at all. To meet the demand for wider tedders for three-point linkage, Lely has utilised the experience that was gained in the development of, for example, the Lotus 770 machines in a new three-point linkage tedder featuring eight rotors and a 9.00 m working width. The Lely Lotus 900 Stabilo; a fine example of the best of both worlds.

The Stabilo steering device also excels itself at a 9 m working width
The Stabilo steering device is well-proven throughout the years due to an unrivalled stability and, in combination with the unique Lely hook tine, it ensures an outstanding output. The trapezium-shaped construction with four pivot points eliminates swaying of the tedder so that driving speeds of 15 km/h and upwards can be easily attained. Calculate your profit!

Improved drive-line
To save weight, the drive-line of the four- and six rotor tedders was used for the Lotus 900 Stabilo as well. To make this drive-line suitable for the eight-rotor tedder, larger end reductions are used enabling the drive shaft to rotate faster and transfer more power.

Special pivoting drive
To make sure that the outer rotors can be folded in as compactly as possible, a special drive element has been developed, whereby the outer rotors are folded around a drive shaft. Due to the special angle of this shaft, the tedder is in line during operation, whereas the rotors are lined up one behind the other during folding. This reduces the machine's transport width considerably and makes double pivot points in the drive-line redundant.

Sustainable due to protection brackets
The connected protection guards are a huge benefit of Lely tedders using three-point linkage. The guards divide the power that is exerted on the machine across the entire working width and this improves the overall stability and durability of the machine. This construction - with the protection guards becoming part of the frame - has also been applied on the Lotus 900 Stabilo.

By introducing the Lotus 900 Stabilo, Lely has once more set the standard for three-point linkage tedders. The stability of the Stabilo steering system, the output of the Lely hook tine and the 9 m working width ensure that no single other three-point linkage tedder equals the output of the Lely Lotus 900 Stabilo. The price of the machine is in line with the price level of the other Stabilo models, making the Lely Lotus 900 Stabilo considerably less expensive than a trailed model. A first limited series will be available in 2012.
