Leading robotic technology now also available in Poland

With the set-up of a Lely owned Lely Center facility in Bydgoszcz, Lely makes its Lely Astronaut robotic milking system now also available for dairy farmers in Poland.

During a press conference on September 9, 2009 Lely announced its plans for Poland. The company has set-up one Lely Center facility and has appointed sales advisors in the region of Kujawsko-Pomorski, Wielkopolski, Podlaski, Lubelski and Warmińsko-Mazurski Service staff as well as specialists with farm management background will be available for the support of farmers that opt for a robotic milking system.
The Lely Astronaut robotic milking system is taking dairy operations worldwide to new heights of consistency, economy and efficiency. Field-proven worldwide with more than 7,000 units installed (and still counting!). Lely technology is designed for long-term toughness, year-round reliability and solid return-on-investment. No fewer than 1.2 million milkings are done daily by Lely Astronaut robotic milking systems.
Last April Lely introduced the new Lely Astronaut A3 Next which consumes significantly less energy and water than competitive brands. Unique service contracts allow farmers to opt for a truly transparent, all-inclusive contract, which is unique in today's market place. Payment is based on the number of milkings, so pay-as-you-use! The use of first-class materials, combined with a limited number of moving parts, guarantees a long lifetime and a significantly higher trade-in value.
Gert Aerts (Manager Lely Center Bydgoszcz), adds: "Opting for a robotic milking system is not just choosing a different way of milking but a different way of managing your farm. Lely has the longest and deepest knowledge of robotic milking and can be seen as a specialist in farm management advice. When the company decided to make the robot also available in Poland, the company hired Polish people with both a technical as well as a farm background and has trained them in the last months intensively in different countries. We now have an organization available that can help the farmer making robotic milking a success, also on his farm".
