Maassluis, 18 June 2012 – With the introduction of the Lely Hibiscus models CD 715 and CD 815 Vario Lely completes its range of double rotor central delivery rakes. These two new models are launched after the earlier introduction of the Hibiscus models 745 and 915 at the Agritechnica 2011. The extensive range of central delivery rakes now covers working widths ranging from 6.75 m to 8.90 m. Farmers and contractors can now opt for high-grade and reliable machines ensuring highly effective raking as well as perfect swaths.
Hibiscus CD 715 – the basic rake with all necessary features
The new Hibiscus CD 715 forms the beginning of the range with the smallest working width and two 10-arm rotors with a 3.20 m diameter. This rake has the same compact build and small transport width as the CD 745 Vario model, which makes it very easy to negotiate narrow roads and lanes.
Easy mechanical working width adjustment
The Hibiscus CD 715 features a mechanical working width adjustment. The width can be set in three different positions providing working widths of 6.75 m, 6.90 m and 7.05 m resulting in perfect swaths for loader wagons as well as balers. Working width can be easily adjusted by hand when the rake is in the transport position.
Hibiscus CD 815 Vario - maximum stability means high output
The 815 model features two rotors with a 3.50 m diameter and 11 tine arms. Just like the Hibiscus 915 model, this rake was constructed on a wider frame. In combination with a six-wheel carriage under each rotor, this ensures maximum stability of the rotor and, hence, an outstanding output.
Vario – maximum working width and perfect swaths
Due to the hydraulic working width adjustment, the tractor driver can adjust both working width and swath width throughout the operation. The same movement of the suspension is used to lower the rotors for transport (to 3.95 m) and to secure them at the same time.
Stable driving – maximum capacity
A unique feature of all four CD models is the cardanic suspension with the pivot points located slightly in front of the center of the rotor, which ensures stability. The smart front wheel assembly – close to the tines – ensures clean raking while the wheel at the back of the carriage carries the weight of the rotor. The 815 and 915 models feature extra tandem wheels at the back for increased stability as well as a quiet run of the bigger rotors.
By adding the Hibiscus CD 715 and 815 Vario models to the product programme, Lely now boasts a unique and comprehensive range of rakes, which meets the demands of farmers and contractors who recognise the importance of accurate and efficient raking.
