Lely introduces simple model of Lely Lotus 1500 tedder

Yet again, Lely substantiates its name as an innovative company by launching the new Lely Lotus 1500 Profi tedder. This tedder was first introduced at the 2007 Agritechnica show; during the past year it was exhaustively tested and this product is now commercially available. The LOTUS 1500 Profi offers all that may be demanded from a modern tedder: optimum ease of operation, maximum tedding output as well as a long machine life.

Smarter, faster, stronger; these are powerful terms that characterize all Lely products and they also embrace this unique machine concept. Due to the intelligently engineered construction, the tedder can be adjusted into the headland position with one single quick operation. The pivoting point of the Profi headstock was moved backwards to ensure perfect track following. Because of the well designed hydraulic system, folding the 15 m wide tedder in and out is an easy and quick process. Due to its compact folding, the Lotus 1500 Profi has a low centre of gravity and a narrow transport width; in addition, it only requires a small amount of storage space.

The transport wheels of the Lotus 1500 Profi are placed in front of the rotors and the machine features a relatively long drawbar. This results in optimum ground contour following as well as a high degree of stability, so that high operating speeds can be achieved. Consequently, the output of the double Lely hook tine is used to its full potential. Due to its special hook shape, the Lotus tine can take up a huge amount of grass and spread it correctly. Therefore, the output of Lotus tedders is at least 150 % as compared to similar machines.

What makes the Lotus 1500 Profi exceptionally strong and reliable is the well-proven drive-line, which includes two gearboxes as well as two overload safety devices. The unique thing about this system is that power is evenly distributed; safety is built in to this drive.
