Maassluis, 6 August 2012 – The third generation variable chamber baler is improved with new ISOBUS electronics, greater durability and a new drawbar.

One of the most famous and renowned balers from the Welger company was the Welger RP 520 which made a huge impression 13 years ago with its bale size and groundbreaking design. For next season Lely presents the third generation of this variable chamber baler, the Lely Welger RP 545. A follow up on the Lely Welger RP 535 with its proven bale quality, improved with new ISOBUS electronics, greater durability and a new drawbar. Of course the latest design is added to the baler to complete the look of the whole range of Lely Welger round balers.

More durable technology
The Lely Welger RP 545 will have new 50 mm double roller Profi bearings in the tensioning system which makes the baler more durable than ever before. All rollers and shafts which are part of the bale chamber are fitted with easy accessable, greasable bearings.

More comfort with ISOBUS electronics
The new E-Link Pro is more user friendly. First of all the bright display has a clear setup and offers a lot of space for useful information about the baler. The display also shows a status bar for left and right filling of the bale chamber preventing poorly shaped bales. The system is based on ISOBUS so any tractor can be easily connected allowing you to use the control panel of the tractor also.

All field and customers statistics can easily be set by the field wizard, a simple guide to gather important data about the number of bales or hours worked per field or customer. All data can be exported to other computers using the USB connector. With the E-Link Pro ISOBUS control system Lely is our new standard in operating systems. Other balers as well as other forage harvesting machines will follow in the nearby future.

The Lely Welger RP 545 is Europe's largest variable chamber baler. With a bale size from 90 cm up to 200 cm this model offers a wide range of possibilities to meet the demands of all farmers and contractors.
