More than 200 dealers attending the 2010 international Lely Field Days in Wolfenbüttel
Wolfenbüttel – On Thursday, August 12, the international Lely Field Days for German-speaking Lely and Mengele dealers took place in Wolfenbüttel. More than 200 dealers from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Denmark attended this major event.
The objective of the event was to update the dealers for Lely and Mengele products on the latest developments and to acquaint them with the newest products.
The Lely Splendimo 550P - the widest straight mower in the world - was the first machine to be introduced. It was followed by the Lely Lotus 1500 tedder. Unfolding this machine to an impressive 15 m working width is a matter of just a few seconds. The new line of Lely Attis bale wrappers was also welcomed with enthusiasm by the visitors.
Thereafter, the introduction took place of the Lely Welger RP 445 round baler with variable chamber and of the Lely Welger RPC 445 Tornado combination of baler (also variable) and wrapper. Also because of the new hoods, the RP 445 model now features a highly appealing design feel. In addition, several technical improvements have been made. It was especially the variable wrapping system featuring the outstandingly compact circular wrapper of the Tornado that met with much admiration and appreciation.
Last but not least, the line of Lely Tigo loader wagons was introduced. These loader wagons have been distributed by Lely in various countries for some time, but not yet in German-speaking areas. Thanks to the take-over of Mengele Agrartechnik AG on 27 May, 2010, Lely dealers in German-speaking areas now also have the possibility to add Mengele loader wagons to their product assortment.
