During the Lely 2009 Fielddays, that was attended by well over 600 dealers in Hanover at the end of June, Lely also held a world championship blade change. All attendants were challenged to beat Heinrich von Habsburg, the German contestant in Lely's introduction film, to change blades as soon as possible, thereby benefiting optimally of Lely's unique Splendimo clip system.
The Lely mower blades are fitted with the Splendimo Clip to ensure simple, easy knife changes. This system combines the benefits of bolt mounting with a quick locking system. Fast, safe and secure!
Keith Payne from John Payne Agricultural Engineers in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire, UK was able to change the blade in only 7.8 seconds! He was rewarded with the golden clip disc, which was handed over by former world champion Heinrich von Habsburg and Alexander van der Lely!
