Lely introduces a lotus 2010 tedder
In Hall 6, Stand E39 of the Agritechnica exhibition in Hanover, Lely has a unique concept on display; the Lely Lotus 2010 Tedder. A technical concept that has been well thought-out and boasts innovation, quality and a thoroughly reliable construction; in short, all the elements that are synonymous with Lely.
In 1997 Lely introduced the Lotus 1325; at that time the widest tedder available, with a working width of no less than 13,25 metres. The innovative concept of the uniquely-shaped Lely hook tines and the stability of the Lely tedders contribute so much to the capacity and results of the tedder, that even after ten years, customers assure us that the capacity of the Lely Lotus 1325 is unmatched.
However, it is a general trend that scale expansion within the cattle industry is ongoing. Businesses have larger properties and often cannot cope without hiring more staff. The hours worked at a business become more and more valuable and so they must be used most effectively. Hence, our engineers have taken on the challenge of adding a new dimension to tedding, elaborating on our huge success with Lely Lotus tedders. Building on our success and the experiences of users of the Lotus 900 and the Lotus 1020, a whole new tedder concept has been devised. Excellent ground-contour following, stability and durability were very important in the development of this new giant. Naturally, the Lotus 2010 Concept will also be equipped with the new Lely hook-tine.
