Cornes AG is a subsidiary of Cornes & Co.,Ltd, Japan’s oldest international trading house founded in 1861 by Frederick Cornes, a young English textile merchant. Since 1968 Cornes AG started to introduce imported Agri-machines and dairy equipment.

Cornes AG began doing business in Hokkaido nealy 50 years ago when the island’s agricultural industry was still in its infancy. Today, as Hokkaido has become Japan’s breadbasket, Cornes AG continues to contribute to the advancement of Japanese agriculture. Cornes AG is focused on introducing proactive technologies to Japan and optimizing them for the local market. Cornes AG is revolutionizing the Japanese dairy industry with the Lely Astronaut milking robot and together with the Rakuno Gakuen (dairy) university, has set-up the experimental Cornes Ecofarm; an automated dairy farm designed to run with minimum staff.
