More than 10 years ago Lely established the first (and so far only) factory owned importer and distributor for grassland machinery in New Zealand. This enabled direct factory involvement in product research and development as well as short lines to the end customer. The formula has proven to be successful and cost effective also for representing renowned brands like Welger, Schuitemaker and more recently Sgariboldi and Tulip.

The latest product developments from Lely in dairy technology like the Astronaut A3 milking robot, the Voyager frontier grazing system, Compedes rubber flooring and Calm automatic calf feeding system offer new technology to sustain and enhance the preferred Kiwi lifestyle for years to come.
In 2008 the first Lely Astronauts A3 milking robots will be installed and serviced in Canterbury and Southland. With enormous growth potential in the near future for Lely, the establishment of regional sales and service locations for the whole dairy range of equipment is the next logical step towards establishment of a nation wide dealer network with local customer knowledge and specialised staff
