Lely

From June 18 through 20, 2008, the EDF Congress was held in Groningen, the Netherlands. The main theme of this congress was "the new reality”.

There are not always simple explanations for the reasons why there is an upward or downward tendency in cows' visits to milking robots.

Ever since the introduction of the Lely Discovery mobile barn cleaner, the interest for this revolutionary product has been high.

During the INSCOPE Congress 'Research for Innovation' an honourable mention was granted to Lely Industries in the context of the yearly Erasmus Competition and Innovation Monitor.  

Through a unique raffle, Lely celebrates - together with all members of the Lely Ambassadors Club - the fact that we have been successfully engaged in robotic milking for more than 15 years.

Lely has caused quite some sensation with the 20 m wide tedder that was introduced at the Agritechnica in Hanover. Following the introduction of this remarkable machine, Lely has now launched the Lotus 770 P on the market place. This is a trailed tedder for medium-sized farms where they like to use a light tractor for tedding operations.   

Further to an earlier announcement made mid-December, 2007, the Netherlands-based Lely Group and the USA-based Vermeer company now confirm their 100% joint acquisition of German agricultural baler and bale-wrapper manufacturer Welger Maschinenfabrik GmbH.

Early April 2008 Lely Industries N.V. and Triodor Software B.V. established a joint venture under the name Lely Triodor Software  

On 3 and 4 April, 2008, Lely had the privilege of welcoming a party of no fewer than 140 Lely Astronaut users.    

From February 18 through 25, 2008, the Farm Management Support (FMS) department of Lely held a five day's training course for external advisors on milking robot start-up and feeding.              

Dutch-based Lely Group and USA-based Vermeer have announced plans to jointly acquire 100% of the assets of German agricultural baler and bale-wrapper manufacturer Welger Maschinenfabrik GmbH.           

In Hall 6, Stand E39 of the Agritechnica exhibition in Hanover, Lely has a unique concept on display; the Lely Lotus 2010 Tedder. A technical concept that has been well thought-out and boasts innovation, quality and a thoroughly reliable construction; in short, all the elements that are synonymous with Lely.
