Cookie Policy

We use different types of cookies on Lely websites. We believe it’s important that you can control your privacy, so we’d like to give you as much information as possible about the cookies we use and the purposes they serve. If you’d like to know more about how we treat personal data, read our privacy policy.

So, what are cookies?

We use cookies on our sites. A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored on your computer or mobile device in the form of a file. Cookies allow us to recognise your computer or mobile device when you next visit our website.

When we refer to cookies, we also mean technology similar to cookies, such as JavaScript, tags, web beacons, pixels and HTML5 Local Storage. This page explains the exact cookies we place, and the consequences for your privacy.

Why does Lely place cookies?

We place cookies to make our sites work properly and keep them secure, and to analyse and improve our sites, products and services. Placing cookies allows us to recognise you the next time you visit our sites. We can then build up a useful customer image with your preferences. We use this customer profile for various purposes, such as:

  • Offering social media.
  • Making you personalised and relevant offers. We take into account what you have looked at on our site, such as whether we’ve sent you information about products and services.
  • Showing you offers on third-party sites that may be of interest to you. We carry this out in cooperation with companies that specialise in advertising technology.

How does Lely treat your privacy?

Our privacy policy explains how we treat your privacy, process personal data, what your rights are, and what we use your data for.

What types of cookies does Lely place?

Lely uses three types of cookies; cookies that have a very minor, minor, or major influence on your privacy. We’d like to explain how we use these different types of cookies:

  • Cookies that have a very minor influence on your privacy
    • Essential cookies: we always place these cookies. These cookies make sure the website works properly and is secure, among other things.
    • Functional cookies: these cookies make sure the website’s more advanced functions also work. The difference with essential cookies is that the website doesn’t work properly at all without essential cookies, and becomes less secure.
  • Cookies that have a minor influence on your privacy
    • Analytical cookies: we only place these cookies if you give consent. We use analytical cookies to collect statistics about how our website is used, and, for example, how to make it easier to use. These cookies are also used to store data, such as your browser’s IP address and technical characteristics.
  • Cookies that have a major influence on your privacy
    • Marketing cookies: we only place these cookies if you give consent. These are cookies from companies that allow our advertisements to be displayed on their websites, among other things. We use the combined data from advertising cookies from our site and third-party sites to show you the offers that are most relevant to you.

You consent to the placement of cookies by clicking “Allow cookies" or "Save cookie preferences".

You can turn cookies on or off or delete them

To withdraw your consent for cookies, change your cookie settings. You can also delete cookies for which you previously gave consent by opening the settings menu of your internet browser and deleting cookies.

Useful info about Lely's Cookie Policy

Lely may change this Cookie Policy if something changes in the company, or if laws or rules are amended. The latest version of the Cookie Policy can always be found on our site.
