Today Lely has introduced Lely Control: a new way of controlling the Lely Juno feed pusher and Lely Discovery mobile barn cleaner. Lely Control is an application for mobile devices which enables farmers to operate these Lely barn products with their smartphone via a Bluetooth connection.

This new operating system offers many benefits for the farmer. Teus de Jong Product Manager Feeding products at Lely International explains that the farmer can now control his Juno and Discovery from a longer distance. ‘This offers more flexibility and possibilities than the current E-link control box. For example the farmer can pause the machine(s) from the feeding alley with one device, but it can also be used for multiple users. Lely Control makes it easier for us to add new future functionalities’.
Other benefits for the dairy farmer related to Lely Control are:
- Easy to use, smartphone always on hand
- Less maintenance
- Multiple possibilities with the smartphone: control more machines and use of Lely T4C InHerd
To support dairy farmers who want to use Lely Control all Juno and Discovery systems ordered between 29th May 2014 and 30 October 2014 and delivered before the 31st of December 2014, will be supplied with a smart phone free of charge.
Farmers that already work with a Juno or Discovery can order a ‘retro fit’ package for a special introductory price from their Lely Center. Lely Control can be downloaded for free in the Google Play Store. The ‘retro fit’ package replaces the current E-link for the Bluetooth receiver.
