Lely T4C is the central point of the Farm Management software on each individual farm, whether working with a Lely Astronaut, Lely Vector or a combination. Lely continuously works on developing and improving the ease of use. In this article we highlight the most important changes introduced with the T4C 3.9 update.
Management, T4C & InHerd
From time to time it is required to edit or add one or more ration components. This could be introducing a new feed type or a change in loading order. From now on you can click on a certain line to ‘drag and drop’ it to a different position or place it in between other lines. With the ‘+’ function a new feed type is easily introduced and ‘dragged’ to its correct position.
In-between mixing time
For each ration, a specific loading order and in-between mixing time may be preferred. For example, when feeding longer feed types, you may want to mix this before adding shorter crops. With the all-new ‘In-between mixing time’ function it becomes possible to let the MFR mix for a certain number of minutes in between steps 2 and 3. Please note this function requires the 2.4 Vector embedded software set.
Fences and routing
In general, a location consists of various fences and especially on beef farms these add up. To be able to fine tune per fence, various options have been introduced. With a single click you can (de)activate automatic feeding per location or fence from the overview screen. In addition, you can easily adjust the ration or feed height per fence if so required.
Alongside this, for beef farmers using the beef feed table it is now possible to set individual fence settings, such as feed height and dosing weight.
Feed kitchen visualisation
A clean and easy-to-understand map of the feed kitchen becomes available with the T4C 3.9 update in combination with the 2.4 Vector embedded software set. The plan generated in the Lely Control App is automatically published in T4C. The map includes information such as preferred storage places per feed type, empty storage places and feed type per storage place identified with a colour. With this map it is now easy to get an overview at a glance for the farmer, employees or advisors.
Feed table history
Settings may be adjusted over time to suit the herds’ needs at a particular time and this is also the case for the feed table. With the ‘history’ option, the feed table settings are saved over time. This can be useful for analysis or to reactivate a previous setting.
Scheduled routing tasks
Once in a while you have periodic but unplanned actions, e.g. cleaning your straw pen or a foot bath. At these times you want to (temporarily) deactivate scheduled routing tasks. This becomes possible with the T4C 3.9 update.
Besides these larger updates, a variety of smaller improvements have been introduced, such as:
• concentrate feeding security (Vector);
• all warnings on ration page in one pop-up (Vector);
• feed type ‘water’ introduced and separated on Report 70 ‘Feeding – overview’ (Vector);
• Lely Grazeway R device settings page;
• grazing data in API4;
• new dashboard attentions.
Again, multiple improvements have been introduced to make the Lely Farm Management Software even more user friendly and labour efficient.
