The Qwes cow-recognition system has different tags, each of which has its own focus. Choose the tag that best fits in with your farm, wishes and goals.
Identification is essential for automated milking
The Qwes ISO ID is a tag specifically created for identification. This means, that each cow is being identified and recognized in the robot and all other Lely peripherals that require identification. This is the most basic type of tag in our portfolio.
To make sure the insemination timing is perfect!
With the Qwes ISO LD neck you have ISO identification inside the robot but the heat activities are being read out by an antenna over a longer distance. Sniffing and chin resting - neck movements that indicate heat - are effortlessly detected by the ISO LD. Day and night. The data is available immediately (RealTime) via long-range data transfer.
Highest chance of successful insemination; even with difficult fertility cows!
The Qwes H-LD tag is a tag which, next to identification, measures the activity of individual cows over a longer distance in a 2 hour period of time. After the 2 hour block is complete it will send that block each quarter until a new 2 hour block is complete. The data is sent to the management program T4C without visiting the Lely Astronaut milking robot and then processed to notify you which cows are in heat. Based on this information T4C will inform you about the most optimal insemination moment.
The combination of rumination data and other sensors: the best basis for reproduction
Besides identification, this option provides information on rumination activity, overall activity and the health status of individual cows, as well as that of the dairy herd as a whole. The data are sent remotely by radio frequency. As a result you can monitor your dairy cows, heifers and dry cows 24 hours a day.
Real-time grazing and rumination monitoring for heat and health care
As well as measuring activity and grazing, this tag offers data on rumination behaviour per individual cow. This provides you with an insight into the optimum insemination time for each cow and shows the cow’s current health status. The tag also comes with the option to add the Lely Cow Locator function at a later date.
