What is your role?

Within our Product Development team, we are looking for a Product Owner to join one or two existing development teams.

Lely is world leader in automation for the dairy industry; our product development teams ensure that new products comply with our high-quality standards. These farming innovations involve new products for new markets as well as updates and support.

In the process of bringing the products to our end-users, the development teams deal with many influences. The team is fed with information from the testers, field installations, data analysts, manufacturing engineers, service technicians and the development program from the project. Keeping all these stakeholders happy and aligned is your main goal.

Your role and position

As Product Owner PD, you are working in a software development team. Your main stakeholders are Technical Service Support, field technicians, internal product development teams, the project manager, the product manager, the end-user, and team members of other disciplines in the project.

With the stakeholders, you identify the needs of the field for the specific products. You define the Product Backlog, how to organize the work and the best way of bringing value to the field. As Product Owner, you have a dedicated team of Product Developers working with you.

What is your experience?

We are looking for a Product Owner who knows how to leverage within a hybrid world of projects combined with agile ways of working. You are focusing on ONE LELY. All stakeholders are considered and are equally important in realizing the roadmap. You are a self-starter.

On top of this we are looking for someone who can identify with the following skills and competences:

Three years of experience as a Scrum Product Owner.
Have an empirical and entrepreneurial mindset with customer focus.
Have a focus on getting things validated and done and manage your Product Backlog accordingly.
Show leadership and ownership.
Excellent planning and organizational skills: you know how to prioritize and convince.
You are a people person: listen, align and connect.
You can say 'no' and make choices.
You are a spokesperson for the team and manage your internal and external stakeholders closely.
You create and share Product Vision with the team.
