What is your role?

Lely is a Dutch company that develops and builds robots for the dairy industry. It is Lely’s goal to fully automate the day-to-day farm processes so farmers can spend time doing the things they love. At Lely, we develop Lely’s Farm Management Solution, which is called Lely Horizon. Horizon directly interfaces with the Lely robots on the farm and provides farmers with key insights into their business. The application is rolled out to 10s of thousands of farms worldwide.
Given that Lely deals with live animals, delivering high quality, bug-free software is crucial. That’s why we feel it is important to invest in writing automated tests and make them an integral part of our CI/CD pipelines.

Designing, developing, and maintaining test automation scenarios
Executing automated test scenarios for functionality, regression, integration, etc.
Gathering test requirements and producing test specifications
Analysing and reporting the test results
Building and maintinaing the test automation pipelines and infrastructure

What is your experience?

Bachelor in Computer Science/Engineering or similar
Several years working experience as a Test Automation engineer
Experience in QA and software testing – test case planning, test case preparation, test execution, defect management & defect resolution
Ability to write basic SQL queries
Strong Java development skills
Experience with Java test automation frameworks, especially Cucumber and REST Assured
Experience testing RESTful APIs and writing integration tests
Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written (Dutch is a plus)
Willing to travel
