What is your role?

A nice role connected to the strategic and tactical choices that Lely makes within its international Commercial organization. You will end up in a very essential position directly linked to our CCO. We expect a solid discussion partner, with strong Business Control skills and a great commercial understanding. Important topics are:

  • The global expansion ambition
  • The development of new product/market combinations
  • Optimizing sales volumes at varying price levels
  • Risks and opportunities with regard to our (future) customer base
  • Further optimizing / continuously improving the (financial) performance of the sales channels and sales processes
  • Further optimizing / continuously improving the (financial) performance of the (own) Lely Centers
  •  M&A

You act as the Finance Navigation Partner of our CCO and our other international key stakeholders. You are part of the Sales MT. In this role, you will advise, support and challenge the commercial organization and provide insight into financial and non-financial performance to support management's decision-making. This with the aim of ensuring that the chosen strategic path creates the desired value at acceptable risk levels. Your experience, analytical and advisory skills are essential. In addition, you lead the sales team through the planning & control cycle, you develop business models and case studies and you are involved in M&A activities, You are a real spider in the web where you connect people from the business and the CFO segment (including IT, Legal and Tax).
You report to the Head of Finance and Control and are part of the Finance & Control team.  The Finance & Control team has started the Finance Innovators Program. An important program to further professionalize and digitize our Finance organization. We expect an active contribution from you, including in the field of developing the role of the business controller.

What are you going to do:

  • High-level sparring Partner in the organization
  • Scenario planning and forecasting
  • Making connections between value drivers, KPIs and finances
  • Monitoring/analyzing results
  • Risk and opportunity management,
  • Advising and supporting in Business Development incl. new revenue models
  • Drafting Business Cases
  • Functional management of the regional controllers in the different regions

What is your experience?

Completed University education in the field of business administration or economics, supplemented with RC is an advantage;

  • 10 years of relevant work experience in an international commercial environment;
  • Connector between business and finance: You understand how business processes and management agendas work and you can place this in a broad business and macroeconomic context;
  • Experience in working with other cultures and foreign teams
  • Persuasive communication and advisory skills;
  • Helicopter view
  • Experience in developing business models, cost price models, business cases and dashboards;
  • Experience with project management and project-based work (changes);
  • Continuous drive to improve and innovate;
  • Experience with ERP and business intelligence (M3, Tableau and Tagetik is an advantage);
  • Familiar with LEAN and Agile.
