What is your role?

Are you an inspiring leader and strategic negotiator with extensive experience in IT procurement and a proven track record of managing contracts with global players like Microsoft? As the Lead Strategic Procurement IT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Lely's IT procurement strategy, leading a team of Sourcing Managers, and ensuring the successful negotiation and management of key contracts in the IT domain. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Team Leadership: Guide and develop the IT Procurement team, supporting Sourcing Managers in contract negotiations and supplier management. 
  • Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead IT procurement activities, aligning sourcing strategies with business needs. Negotiate contracts with major suppliers (e.g., Microsoft) to optimize cost, quality, and service. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and suppliers to drive digital transformation and strategic alignment. 
  • Market & Strategy Development: Conduct market analysis and implement sourcing strategies that ensure cost-effective, innovative IT solutions. 
  • Contract & Supplier Management: Oversee IT contract compliance and performance, establishing a structured management framework. 
  • Broader Procurement Experience: Experience in NPR categories is a plus, offering a wider procurement perspective. 

What is your experience?

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, business, or a related field. 
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT procurement, with a strong focus on software, licensing agreements, and supplier negotiations. 
  • Proven expertise in negotiating contracts with major IT suppliers, particularly in the software and technology space. 
  • Practical knowledge of best practices in strategic sourcing, procurement systems, and IT supply chain management. 
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities, particularly within a matrix organizational structure. 
  • Fluency in English & Dutch
