What is your role?

Lely develops and produces robots and digital services for the agricultural sector, especially dairy farms, and supplies them worldwide in more than 40 countries.

In this position, you are reporting to the Learning and Development expert within Lely’s Digital Operations Center (DOC).

After an internal training you will support the Digital Operations Center (DOC) with keeping the technical knowledge up-to-date from our third-, second-, and firstline support about our digital products such as T4C and Lely Horizon. Lely Horizon is the management system for modern dairy farming.

You will prepare and give trainings to several type of colleagues in several layers in the organization, from developers to technicians. You will work closely with the Digital Operations Center (DOC) Technicial Specialists who will give you technical input that you will be translating into clear, easy to understand, logical Knowledge Base (KB) articles and trainings. You will actively capture feedback from your stakeholders and audience and progress this feedback into new or updated training materials and technical manuals. Furthermore, you will participate in innovative and important projects such as the ‘Future Proof Technician Support’ project. Together with a project team, you will ensure a worldwide rollout of a new (and innovative) knowledge sharing tool. In addition, you will implement and support a smart knowledge management process within Lely. Also, you will contribute to a vision on translation policies within Lely. 

To build up a good relationship with colleagues abroad, you occasionally visit a branch.

What is your experience?

You like to prepare and present trainings and keep training materials such as user manuals, training video’s and user guides up-to-date. You can move in the various user groups and create perfect tailor-made training sessions. You have didactic knowledge, but you also have a commercial feeling. Further:

  • Experience with giving training and developing training materials;
  • Experience with working on (technical) knowledge topics;
  • Team player;
  • Creative, entousiasm and open mindset;
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities;
  • Fluent level of English (verbal and written);
  • Easy to connect (and co-create) remotely with colleagues worldwide;
  • Dynamic role with a lot of space for own initiatives;
  • Plenty of room for personal growth and development.

No specific educational degree is required.
Regular travel to other countries inside and outside Europe is part of this role.
