What is your role?

As IFS Field Service Management (FSM) Application Expert you have an important role in the design, development and support of our service management tooling and processes in our premium distribution channel. 

In this role you are responsible for setting up, configuring and supporting the FSM application. Your primary responsibility lies in the field of continuous development and you also act as an internal consultant. An ambitious program has been drawn up for the coming years in the Lely Compass programme, in which the first set-up with FSM has already been completed. Lely has a team of Application Experts and Specialists supporting our suite of ERP tools used by the Distribution Channel. The Field Service Management Application expert will form part of this team.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • You are part of a multifunctional team with an Agile way of working and thinking.
  • Set up, build and configure the IFS Filed Service Management application together with the process expert.
  • You maintain intensive contact with stakeholders, map out their wishes and translate this into a solution in the FSM system.
  • Design, define, define and plan functional requirements.
  • Configuring the system in accordance with established functional requirements.
  • You are responsible for the quality of the Field Service Management platform.
  • You supervise and participate in the data migration.
  • Provide support for the "Train the Trainer" plan.
  • Initiate improvements to the system functionality.
  • Responsible for communication and implementation of change and release management.
  • Oversees and communicates the system impact of new products and services. 

What is your experience?

In this role you are mainly responsible for development and you also act as an internal Consultant. To be successful as an FSM Application Expert, you have three to five years of experience in a similar role. Experience with Service Management processes is an advantage. In addition, it is important that you can bring technical ideas back to plain business user language. You are a team player who regularly seeks connection and contact with other colleagues. 

  • 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role, for example Functional Administrator.
  • Experience with configuring IFS or similar Field Service Management application is required.
  • You can work on a project basis.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level.
  • Communication skills with which you are able to convince on a technical as well as a functional level. 
  • Good knowledge of field service management (planning, scheduling) processes.
