What is your role?

Data of more than 30,000 Lely solutions, of which 95% is available in real time; now that is what we call Big Data! Artificial Intelligence, neural data, IoT... you name it; we’re working with it.

You know what it is to treat data as an asset, to monitor and improve data quality for our International organization. With your knowledge, curiosity and communication skills, you are the best person to support the business in their growing ambitions. We already know that robotized milking increases the milk production of a cow. However, what other facts can we extract from our data? What do customers think of Lely, how can we help our customers grow, what customer information drives our business? Data Quality is key to help the organization answer these questions.

As a Data Steward Customer Data, you work from the main office in Maassluis. However, in close collaboration with a worldwide network of Cluster organizations you continuously work on improving the data quality of Customer Data used in the whole Lely organization. You are supported by

  • Data Engineers;
  • Data Analysts;
  • Data Management Specialists;
  • Integration Specialists;
  • and other colleagues from different departments in the organization.

As Customer Centricity is very important for Lely, so is the customer data and the person who is responsible for its quality worldwide.

As a data steward you help set up, monitor and uphold rules and regulations for the Customer Data. Your communication skills are important, as you also should educate other parts of the business in the necessity and the way of working regarding the data quality policies/rules, also on how the data owners and their data creators have impact on the data quality in the decentralized international organizations.

Finally, you will be subject matter expert for Customer Data in various projects and initiatives we tend to roll out in the future.

What is your experience?

Important Tasks:

  • Continuous improve the capabilities of our cluster organization and distribution partners to keep the Customer Data Quality as high as possible
  • You are responsible for measurement and monitoring the data quality
  • You are subject matter expert on Customer Data and will be involved in all project regarding this topic.
  • You create, maintain and uphold the rules and regulations regarding Customer Data and communicates these to all relevant stakeholder
  • You know when to be strict but also when to be flexible
