What is your role?

Conducting analyses and research, you - as a Licence Manager - ensure that undue purchases of software licences are avoided. Deploying your critical view, you make sure that software is being identified and checked as well as being compliant. In addition, you are responsible for licence data, registration and renewals, whereby time and quality are always key.

What are your further responsibilities?

  • In-company alignment with stakeholders and maintaining contacts with suppliers.
  • Admin management such as the addition and/or removal of users.
  • Set-up and layout of a Software Configuration / Asset Management Database (CMDB).
  • Supporting the CMDB management and ensuring that its contents are accurate.
  • Set-up, layout and management of an audit runbook in relation to licence compliance audits.
  • Process efficiency and the implementation of process improvements.
  • Achieving of cost savings.
  • Close collaboration and alignment with the IT Sourcing Manager.

What is your experience?

This job requires excellent communication skills; in addition you have a proven track record, acquired within large or complex organisations. Furthermore, deploying your expertise and skills, you make sure that the software asset management process is monitored and improved. By virtue of your passion you keep an eye on the group interest, contribute actively towards the sharing of expertise as well as being able to coach your colleagues.

Your background:

  • A completed Information Technology study at higher vocational or university level.
  • At least five years relevant work experience in the domain of software asset management.
  • CSAM certification or the willingness to be (re)certified.
  • A customer-oriented attitude plus organisational sensitivity.
  • Knowledge of several licence models and agreements (enterprise, core processor, named user, node, concurrent user etc.)
  • Expertise and skills in software inventory tools and software reporting tools.
