Alexander van der Lely to become chairman of the Supervisory Board,
André van Troost nieuwe CEO Lely
Maassluis, 2 September 2019 – An important change will take place in the management of Dutch family business Lely in the coming months. From January 1, the current CEO, Alexander van der Lely, will become the chairman of a newly formed Supervisory Board for Lely. This Supervisory Board must ensure that Lely remains a healthy family business. The current Vice President Customer Care, André van Troost, is appointed as new CEO of the Lely Group as of 1 January 2020. The Executive Board team remains unchanged.

Lely launches 'Feed the Future'
The first cross-industry innovation challenge for startups to revolutionise dairy farming
The first edition of the ‘Feed the Future by Lely’ challenge is launched today and calls to the next generation of tech pioneers to innovate and feed the dairy industry with technology solutions. Lely, the leading supplier of robotics and management data for the dairy farm, and Rockstart, one of Europe’s first startup accelerators, aim to scout talented tech entrepreneurs who think outside the box and are up to the challenge to apply their tech solutions to the dairy farming process. The applications for the first Feed the Future challenge will be open from 27 August to 6 October 2019.

Italy hosts inspiring ‘Red Cow event’ for Dairy XL farmers
By connecting almost 80 guests, 45 companies and 12 nationalities, the Lely Dairy XL community celebrated its second international Red Cow event in the Lombardia region, Italy. Members of this community were able to gain new insights into managing large dairy farms, discuss common challenges and connect with the local way of dairy farming.

Lely and Mueller sign agreement for Cooling Solutions
May 29, 2019 Maassluis, Netherlands - To achieve global coverage of cooling solutions, Lely and Mueller B.V. in Groenlo today signed an agreement to include Mueller milk tanks, silos and ancillary products in the Lely portfolio. This integration means added value for farmers, who now have a tightly integrated range of products to choose from, when building or expanding their dairy operations.

Alexander van der Lely and Karel van den Berg nominated for the European Inventor Award
The European Patent Office (EPO) announced that Alexander van der Lely, CEO, and Karel van den Berg, Director Innovations, have been nominated for the European Inventor Award 2019 as finalists in the category “Industry” for their fully automated milking system, Astronaut, that benefits animals and farmers. The winners of the 2019 edition of the EPO's annual innovation prize will be announced at a ceremony in Vienna on 20 June.
