Job Title - Customer Sales Support Feed

Location: Home/Field Based – Must be able visit the office when required
Reports to: Customer Solutions Manager
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week

The Customer Sales Support position is responsible for ensuring they, and the Lely Center reach their sales and financial objectives by means of Lely Center coaching, development and challenging Lely Center’s in respect of their specific product portfolio.

The Customer Sales Support (CSS) Feed is part of Cluster Atlantic covering the UK and Ireland sales territory. The Cluster is responsible for supporting, steering and growing our Premium Distribution Channel.

  • The Customer Sales Support (CSS) Feed reports to the Customer Solution manager
  • The Customer Solutions team teams consist of Customer Product Specialists and Customer Sales Support who are together responsible for the entire Lely product portfolio
  • The Customer Sales Support role is to supports, steer, grow and professionalises the Premium Distribution Channel by coaching Lely Centres and Lely Centre employees to a professional standard in regards:-
    • Driving the adoption of robotics and New Product Introductions (NPIs) from a national perspective
    • Enhancing customer-centricity to continue maximising Lely’s national market share
    • Strengthening the Lely Centres and helping them to become more successful

Key responsibilities:

Training Support: 
  • Monitor sale pipeline, accurately reporting KPIs to Customer Solutions Manger (CSM)
  • Provide sales mentoring and commercial trainings both internally and externally while acting as an ambassador for the Lely brand and specific product portfolio
  • Training and coaching of Lely Center Sales Advisers and managers through different means including co travelling.
  • Coordinating and stimulating the certification of new and existing Lely Center Sales Advisers
  • Supporting and motivating the commercial activities of the LCs with the aim of increasing sales and turnover
  • Innovate, execute and record commercial activities in line with the corporate strategy
  • Listen to Lely Center, stakeholder and market feedback creating strategy to overcome risks to adoption

New Product Introduction: 

  • Ensure the New Product Introductions from Lely are correctly implemented within portfolio segment
  • Responsible for the preparation and adjustment of training materials based on Cluster input;

Distribution Development:

  • Coaching Lely Centers and employees to professionalism in respect to the Franchise agreement
  • Support the sales funnel management in Lely Center and assure use of CRM tooling

Stakeholder Management: 

  • Actively grow Lely’s market leading reputation in the field while maintain industry relations
  • Continuously inform Lely Centers and report to Cluster about market trends, solutions, management practices
Management & Organisation
  • Manage Cluster feeding portfolio plan and review with peers within the Cluster
  • Developing and executing marketing actions within the marketing plan (e.g. advertisements, articles, press releases, national shows, open days, farm visits)
  • Providing input for the drawing up of the Cluster and LC budgets based on market data and analyses.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Experienced sales professional with at least 5+ years’ experience and a proven track record showing area/portfolio development
  • Ability to navigate a successful sales process with the competency to identify and tailor sales process depending on specific customer goals
  • Working knowledge of agricultural nutrition
  • Marketing analysis, trends and management practises
  • Working knowledge of the factors influencing farm finance
  • Marketing analysis, trends and management practises

Desireable: 

  • Experience of business development and opportunity management
  • Experience of dairy robots

Mobility Requirements:

The successful candidate will be requirement to travel national and international, therefore you must: 

  • Hold clean, valid driving licence.
  • Flexible and able to travel often
  • Must hold a valid passport
