Robot longevity key to 10 million kg milk milestone

 Paul, who installed his two A3 robots on his North Devon farm in 2008, has just seen one robot surpass the 10 million kg milk milestone with his second robot due to hit the same figure shortly.

 “Really it’s down to the hard work of the Lely Center engineers, they service the robots regularly and are brilliant. It does help that I’m around the yard during the day working so if any alarms do go off, I can pick up any issues immediately and can respond but, all in all, we rarely get any problems”

 “The robots are reliable and have given me peace of mind, they work 24/7 and never let me down. I’m actually adding a third A3 robot (second-hand) to the barn this summer”.

Only the other night I had an alarm at 1.30am; by 2am an engineer was on site, a cable was replaced and the robot was back in action.
