Sales Representative

The role requires a flexible highly motivated individual with lots of enthusiasm and who has also got experience of the dairy industry. The highly motivated self-starter will need to demonstrable initiative and have the ability to function well independently and as part of a team. The individual will need to be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail. The role would suit a candidate that wants to develop a career within a rapidly growing dairy automation business.

The individual will report directly to the Sales Manager. This role is demanding but with many benefits and fantastic career opportunities within the company and further a field within Lely International.

Key Functions

  • Deliver sales and customer success
  • Obtaining and qualifying sales enquiries from defined geographic area
  • Visiting potential end users
  • Following and reporting market developments
  • Planning of sales activity within the sales area
  • Analysing and creating product system proposals in conjunction with the Project Co-ordinator
  • Developing basic barn layout designs and dimensions
  • Assisting with installation and start-up activity with the Project Coordinator
  • Organising and attending farm open days and shows
  • Closing sales including collection of payments
  • Liaising with financial contacts to facilitate sales
  • Maintaining regular contact with end-users
  • Ensuring that customers expectations with regard to service and performance are met
  • Ensuring that relevent Service Contracts are in place with new and existing customers
  • Feeding back competitor and market information to the wider organisation (including Lely Support Organisation)
  • Compilation of weekly activity reports
  • Updating CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Health & Safety responsibility within the Lely H&S Policy

  • Achievement of Lely Center annual Budget (Year Plan) for unit sales
  • Maintaining Lely Support Organisation Astronaut (Milking Robot) market share
  • Delivering Lely sales growth in line with Lely Center Business Plan
