Over the years Lely Aircon brought many sustainable benefits to dairy farmers, however for this to be a future-proof operation Lely would have to focus more on selling wind turbines at locations outside of the dairy farming segment. Lely’s distribution channel is not set up to service other segments and there is no intention to do so in the near future. Even though Lely believes in the sustainable benefits of wind turbines, it therefore does not fit its strategic focus anymore.
Lely has found a solid and reputable partner in Bettink Service Team who acknowledges the business value and growth potential of the Aircon products. Bettink has a wealth of experience in the installation, commission, service and maintenance of wind turbines around the world. Existing Lely Aircon customers can now rely on the specialized wind turbine services offered by Bettink. All employees of Lely Aircon will be transferred to Bettink Service Team.
Lely, founded in 1948, directs all its efforts towards creating a sustainable, profitable and enjoyable future in farming. Using the cow as a centre point, the company develops premium robotics and data systems that increase animal welfare, flexibility and production on dairy farms.
For more than 25 years, Lely has been leading in the sale and service of automated milking systems to successive generations of dairy farmers across the globe. Every day, Lely inspires their employees to offer customers innovative solutions and be reliable partners for long-term advice and support. With their head office in The Netherlands and a worldwide network of dedicated Lely Center locations for tailor-made sales and support, the Lely Group is active in more than 40 countries and employs around 1.500 people.
