Klebsiella mastitis; assassin in your herd?

Klebsiella mastitis is increasingly common in the USA, the Netherlands and some other countries. Klebsiella is a Gram negative bacterium very similar to Escherichia coli. Both types of mastitis originate from the environment and infections can be fatal.
