10 years of Vector, thanks to our test and validation customers!

Lely installed the first Vector system on a number of dairy farms back in 2011. The Overbeek family in Benschop run such a farm, (NL), where they had already shown an interest in automatic milking and feeding when building a new barn for their dairy cows. The family initially started using the Astronaut A3 Next for automatic milking, then also switched to the Lely Vector for automatic feeding. Kees and Sjors Overbeek had already used automatic feeding at their old farm, but it was a rail system. The Vector offered them much more flexibility.

Lely and ID Agro enter into a partnership for modular feed kitchens

After jointly introducing the first modular feed kitchen in 2017, robot manufacturer Lely and barn innovator ID Agro have now entered into an official partnership. In recent years, both specialists have continued work on the system to ensure it is an even better match for Lely's Vector feeding system. With this partnership, both organisations have given the green flag to distribute the modular feed kitchen via the Lely Center network. This allows ID Agro to expand its sales market, while Lely Centers can offer their customers a complete automatic feeding system. For livestock farmers, it means a shorter turnaround time and further direct communication lines during the planning and installation of the Vector system.
