During the pilot phase - taking 18 months in total - 60 machines were used daily. Dairy farmers extensively tested elements such as user friendliness, the software interface and - last but not least - cow comfort. At the same time, Lely developers tested the frame, did the ‘cow kick’ test and transport test.
The feedback of our customers in the pilot phase enabled us to further develop and improve the milking robot even before market introduction. We developed a unique collaboration with our customers that we enjoyed very much. We truly believe we’ve reached a new milestone in milking with the Lely Astronaut A5.
Curious to hear what our pilot customers say about the Astronaut A5? Watch the compilation video for a first impression. If you’d like to know more about the milking robot after watching the video, please feel free to contact us.
