Job Description

The Accounting Specialist position is responsible for assisting with preparation of monthly financial reports, developing and maintaining cost center actual to budget comparisons and generating various sales, cost of goods sold and gross margin reports. This position will provide accounting support to the Financial Accounting areas, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Mansioni principali

  • Creation of monthly reports, department expenses, gross margin, sales reports, etc.
  • Daily review and correction of cost accounting transactions and posting of resulting journal entries.
  • Prepares monthly MUC invoices and updates related price lists.
  • Prepare accounting related journal entries along with necessary supporting documentation.
  • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of selected balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of selected transactions.
  • Ensures all balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly/annual
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors.
  • Basic General Ledger reconciliation including journal entry creation.
  • Provide support for financial audit processes.
  • Ownership of the Corporate credit card
  • Create and maintain a list of fixed assets within M3 and reviews resulting depreciation calculations
  • Process Accounts Payable

Skills

  • 2-3 years of related experience preferred
  • English language : professional working proficiency level
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Detail oriented with excellent ability to think critically, analyze data, make recommendations, and manage circumstances accurately and professionally
  • High-level organizational skills, prioritizing a varied and demanding workload, and demonstrates strong initiative toward improvement efforts.
  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and provide professional assistance to coworkers and other stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects
  • Solution-driven mindset with the ability to influence, and collaborate with an approachable spirit
  • Self-motivated: willingness to grow professional skills and abilities
