Are you passionate about deep learning and keen to make a meaningful impact on the agricultural industry? As an intern in our Product Development department, you will work on a challenging project focused on image classification using minimal labelled data. By exploring and implementing advanced AI solutions, you will help improve Lely’s technological capabilities to enhance the efficiency of dairy farming. 

During this internship, you will: 

Prepare and preprocess data for model training.
Experiment with deep learning algorithms for image classification in situations where there is limited labelled data.
Optimise model performance by fine-tuning hyperparameters, aiming for a balance between accuracy and efficiency.
Integrate the developed model into existing systems.
Iteratively test, analyse, and refine the model, adapting to feedback from team members.
Maintain thorough documentation of your experiments, methods, and findings, and occasionally present these to your team.

You’ll work at the Lely Campus in Maassluis with our dedicated Machine Vision team, who will provide guidance and support as you dive into this complex and rewarding project.

Wat breng je mee?

To be successful in this role, you should: 

Be enrolled in a master’s programme in Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or Robotics (WO level). 
Be proficient in Python and have a basic understanding of image processing, computer vision, and machine learning concepts. 
Have foundational knowledge of deep learning and familiarity with key libraries such as PyTorch. 
Possess strong analytical skills and critical thinking abilities. 
Communicate effectively and enjoy collaborating within a team. 
Approach tasks in a structured, accurate manner.
