Lely reports 2025 financial results: a formidable year

• Four new products launched: Vector Next, Astronaut A5 Next, Astronaut Max and Hub.

• Significant and sharp decline in milk price in Q4 2025 

Lely, a worldwide leader in autonomous systems and data management for dairy farmers, today presented its annual results for 2025 with a total turnover of €1,014 million (2024: €857 million). The revenue increase of 18% reflects last year’s global positive sentiment and favourable milk prices leading to a financially healthy year for dairy farmers in general. Investment in R&D was > 8% of total turnover, meant for new innovations and concepts for the agricultural sector. There is a continued strong commitment to invest in sustainable innovations. Thanks to the trust of our farmers and high customer satisfaction, Lely started 2026 with a healthy filled orderbook. 

Year in review  
André van Troost, CEO of Lely: “2025 has been a formidable year for Lely. Worldwide, the dairy farming sector thrived thanks to high milk prices. Also, we see an increasing customer satisfaction reward for our high-quality and reliable solutions. Altogether, this directly impacted the farmers' appetite to invest in robotics and data. It is thanks to our premium Lely Center network that we were able to act upon the market’s demand and serve our customers. The 2025 result is better than expected; we are proud of hitting one billion sales.” 

Drive for innovation  
“In 2025, we continued to build our innovative solution offering, introducing four new products during two global events, ‘Feed your Business’ and Lely Future Farm Days. Vector Next, Astronaut A5 Next and Astronaut Max represent our next step in feeding and milking. Hub brings improved digital resilience to the farm, taking care of data storage and data protection. All solutions are designed with a focus on animal welfare and farmer prosperity. In November, we signed a collaboration with Grassa to make our next step in exploring alternative proteins as an additional source of income for the farmer in line with our strategy.” 

Outlook for 2026 
“We kicked off the new year in mixed spirits. The year 2026 will be more challenging partly due to the significantly lower milk price, geopolitical tension and uncertainties in chip deliveries. The latter might not impact our business in H1 2026; however, we cannot foresee what will happen towards the second half of the year. On top of this, the global uncertainty in the agricultural sector remains. Farmers continue to be faced with stricter laws and regulations, a growing demand for transparency, and even more focus on sustainability. We believe innovation, robotisation and digitalisation are part of the farmer’s future to be able to produce sustainable and nutritious dairy products. Therefore, our focus will remain on driving our innovative solution portfolio further.
