Technical Support Specialist (TSS) – Dairy Automation

What is your role?

We are seeking a professional and highly capable Technical Services Support person to strengthen our regional support structure and ensure technical excellence across our Lely Centre network. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high service standards, supporting technicians, and driving continuous improvement in system performance.
The Role
As Technical Services Support, you will be responsible for:
- Providing advanced technical support and to Lely Centres and field technicians
- Assisting with installation, commissioning, and optimisation of Lely robotic systems
- Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues
- Supporting system start-ups and performance optimisation on farm
- Coaching and mentoring technicians to build service capability and consistency
- Auditing installations to ensure compliance with Lely standards and specifications
- Delivering structured feedback on system performance and improvement opportunities
- Contributing to service planning and continuous improvement initiatives
This is a dynamic role requiring strong technical competence, sound judgement, and a solutions-driven mindset.
What is your experience?
You are an experienced dairy or agricultural technician who understands the day-to-day realities of dairy farming and has hands-on experience working with milking systems or automation technology. You are now looking to take the next step in your career supporting a wider network, tackling more complex technical challenges, and contributing to innovation in dairy automation.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capability
- Experience with automation, robotics, or agricultural equipment (highly regarded)
- A structured and methodical approach to troubleshooting
- The ability to work independently while supporting a broader team
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to train and guide others
- A genuine interest in agricultural innovation and technology
