Financial Accountant

We are an innovative and fast-growing automated agricultural company focused on technology-driven solutions that optimize farming operations. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a structured, analytical, and hands-on Business Support Financial Accountant who will ensure accurate financial management, strong business control, and high-quality administrative processes across the organization.

The Financial Accountant plays a key role in safeguarding financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, supporting strategic decision-making, and improving business support processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting (R2R)

  • Manage general ledger administration and supervise month-, quarter-, and year-end closings.
  • Prepare P&L, balance sheet, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Review journal entries, balance specifications, and reconciliations.
  • Act as primary contact for accountants and auditors.

Tax, Compliance & Audit (Priority Area)

  • Prepare VAT and corporate tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with fiscal and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate audits and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Ensure financial reporting aligns with local and international standards.

Business Control & Financial Planning

  • Translate business objectives into financial impact.
  • Monitor margins, cost structures, inventory valuation, and profitability.
  • Prepare investment calculations and financial analyses.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and Business Review meetings.
  • Provide data-driven insights to the Management Team.

Project & Operational Administration

  • Manage projects in ERP (budgets, costs, hours, COGS, margin analysis).
  • Monitor budget deviations and report project performance.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (P2P) and Accounts Receivable (O2C).
  • Manage debtor control, credit management, and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and process compliance.

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive optimization of financial and business support processes.
  • Improve reporting quality and administrative efficiency.

 

 

Required:

 

  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a similar financial/accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Movex, Business Central, Business Suite)
  • Understanding of tax compliance and audit processes.
