Farm Management Support Advisor
As a Farm Management Support (FMS) Advisor, you will work directly with dairy farmers in Cork, Kerry & Limerick, to support their adoption of Lely automation solutions - primarily milking and feeding systems. Your role is to guide customers during and after the implementation of new technologies, helping them optimize farm performance, animal welfare, and operational efficiency.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to farmers, providing on-farm training, advice, and support, while collaborating closely with the internal Lely Center team to ensure customer success.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Agriculture or a related discipline.
- Background in dairy farming, animal husbandry, or agricultural technology.
- Knowledge of automated milking and/or feeding systems is an advantage.
- Experience in customer support or advisory roles in agriculture is preferred.
The Role
🐄 Supporting Farmers
- Train farmers on using Lely software and robotics for milking and feeding.
- Help them integrate automation smoothly into daily farm routines.
- Offer advice on health, productivity, and system performance.
- Provides before and after starting up guidance.
- Checks the settings in the farm management software before, during and after the start up period and advises on desired settings and reports.
🔧 Optimizing Performance
- Use farm data to spot improvement areas and recommend practical solutions.
- Encourage the use of Lely’s FMS service packages to enhance results.
- Work with farmers to set goals—and help them achieve them.
🤝 Building Relationships
- Be a trusted advisor and point of contact for farmers long after installation.
- Offer coaching and regular check-ins to ensure they feel confident and supported.
- Work closely with our Sales, Service, and Project teams to deliver excellent customer experience.
- Facilitate on-farm discussion groups with customers.
- Collaborate with fellow FMS Advisors to share knowledge, support each other, and deliver consistent, high-quality service.
