Melbourne, Victoria -  Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting two progressive dairy businesses in Northern Victoria that perfectly demonstrate how Lely Automatic Milking Systems (AMS) are being adapted and implemented the Australian way.

One thing we have learnt is that there is no single blueprint for going robotic in Australia. Different dairy has both unique history and goals. What the best transitions have in common is not an universal design but rather a shared mindset that focuses on practicality, future readiness, and suitability with conditions on the ground.

Northern Victoria – Earlier this month, Lely hosted a series of farm visits in North Victoria as part of the Australian Dairy Conference 2026, which brought together farmers and industry professionals from across the country for discussion, learning and industry connection.

Today, Lely presents its annual results for 2025. Innovative products and services, combined with high customer satisfaction have led to sales of €1,014 million (2024: €857 million).  

The growth of 18% was furthermore driven by a positive market environment with strong average milk prices, and robust demand. Lely’s robots and data clearly add value to farmers to achieve a more sustainable, profitable and enjoyable future in farming.

Myponga, South Australia - Mid-November marked an important milestone for Sam Martin and Rudy Franceschinel and their family-run dairy on the Fleurieu Peninsula as they completed the start-up of four Lely Astronaut A5 milking robots.

With young families and a small team on farm, the new Lely automatic milking robots are expected to help set their partnership business up for a more flexible and sustainable future.
