Updates to Horizon Packages: What Customers in Australia & New Zealand Need to Know

Recognising that every farm operates differently, these updates were designed to give our farmers access to Lely’s latest developments in farm management software, along with greater flexibility to choose the option that best suits their farm and day-to-day needs

Below is an overview of the key updates that you should be aware of.

Three subscription levels available

From 2025, Horizon Basic and Horizon Advance are officially available to all existing customers in both Australia and New Zealand, joining the existing Horizon Control package.

These additions provide a clearer tiered structure of farm management software features and make it easier for you to select the option that best aligns with your operation.

Horizon Basic

Horizon Basic provides a solid foundation of essential operational tools, allowing you to monitor your robots from multiple devices and basic herd and milking insights to support effective daily farm management. In short, it helps you keep track of what’s happening on your farm.

Horizon Control

Horizon Control includes everything in Basic, with added analytical tools focused on milking, feeding, health, and reproduction. These insights can help you understand why certain patterns or changes are occurring on their farm, supporting more informed decision-making and smoother business management.

Horizon Advance

Horizon Advance offers access to Lely’s most advanced features, including further automated events and optimisations. Powered by algorithms and AI, it provides proactive decision support and forecasting tools to help you refine processes and improve production outcomes.

Choosing the most suitable package for your farm

With three packages available, you can choose the package that suits your farm best. It is important to note that any subscription changes can be requested through your local Lely Center and are processed on a quarterly basis.

This means that any requests made now will be effective at the beginning of the next quarter. For example, changes submitted during the current period will take effect in January 2026.
