We would like to congratulate Sandagergaard (near Skals in the North-Western part of Denmark) for winning the Agricultural Working Environment Award 2014. Gunnar Forum and Solveig Klith Forum run the farm, which they bought in 1989.
Lely has now released a new T4C InHerd update with additional features. With the Signals tool farmers can now receive a push message when cows are in heat. Next to this new feature it is now possible with the Cow tool to milk cows under supervision. Also the general performance and speed of T4C InHerd have been improved further.

Farmers bringing forage from field to farm face many new challenges. Shorter harvest windows created by more extreme and rapid weather changes, continually increasing fuel prices, growing requirements for better quality forage and faster results, and pressures to improve efficiency, save time and reduce stress, emphasize the need for better forage harvesting techniques.
Since the introduction of the Lely Welger CB in September in Maassluis, Lely’s new continuous baling concept has been tested in various crops, circumstances and weather conditions. The CB testing teams have been baling silage in the Netherlands and Germany and corn stalks in the United States of America. Please take a look at the findings and results from the product testing.
Continuous Baling means making a new bale while the previous bale is being finished and ejected. It is an easy way of making a large quantity of high-quality bales, saving on fuel and reducing wear and tear. It is about good feed for cattle, comfort for people and a more profitable operation. The Lely Welger CB Concept is a new chapter in forage harvesting.

Lely is proud to share that the twenty thousandth Lely Astronaut milking robot has been installed at a dairy farm belonging to Mr. Josef Härle in Ochsenhausen (Germany). This was celebrated together with the owner of the jubilee robot at the opening day of Eurotier 2014. The 20.000 landmark clearly proves that many of today’s dairy farmers have fully embraced farm automation.
