The international family-owned company, Lely, plans to sell its Forage business, which produces forage harvesting machines to AGCO Corporation, a recognised worldwide as a leading player in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery.

Lely’s milking robot and grassland machines added to Farming Simulator
In version 17 of Farming Simulator, the farm simulation game, you can now run your farm with various Lely machines. Four machines for working the land and the Lely Astronaut milking robot for the barn have been added to the latest version of this popular game. Lely is thus following in the footsteps of some 40 brands whose agricultural machinery is already used in the game. The milking robot is a first.

A new versatile variable chamber baler which offers perfect shaped bales
Lely Welger RP 180 V
Lely introduces the Lely Welger RP 180 V, a variable chamber baler that offers ultimate flexibility. This new baler is the big brother of the RP 160 V model which was introduced last year. With this introduction Lely meets the needs of it’s farmers and contractors in specific markets where bale sizes of up to 1,80 meters are required. The new baler will be available from January 2017.

Acquisition of Lely Turfcare in the UK, Ireland and Denmark by Royal Reesink completed
Royal Reesink N.V. (“Royal Reesink”) and of Lely Holding S.ár.l (“Lely”) today completed the acquisition of Lely’s turfcare activities by Reesink in the UK, Ireland and Denmark. These activities mainly comprise the distribution of Toro machines for the maintenance of golf courses and public green spaces and TYM compact tractors (UK, IRE). These activities generated revenue of some € 60 million in 2015, with around 125 employees. Revenue has grown in the first half of 2016.
