Internship – Root Cause Analysis of Price Differences Between Invoices and Orders

We are looking for a curious and driven intern who will investigate the root causes of price differences between supplier invoices and our purchase orders for direct materials. This is a key topic for our Procurement and Finance departments, and your insights will help us reduce manual invoice approvals and streamline processes.
As part of your assignment, you will:
- Research the structure and integration of our order and invoice approval systems.
- Analyze the current situation regarding manually approved invoices due to price differences.
- Map out the existing workflow and identify bottlenecks in the process.
- Create a visual representation of the current process flow using flow charts.
- Design and propose an improved workflow that minimizes manual interventions.
- Provide concrete recommendations to enhance efficiency and reduce discrepancies.

Are you a hands-on student with a keen eye for details and a talent for process improvement? Then we are looking for you!
You bring the following:
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Industrial Management (Technische Bedrijfskunde), or a similar field.
- Available for a full-time internship of 6 months (4 to 5 days a week).
- Skilled in using Excel for data analysis.
- Able to visualize processes clearly through flow charts and diagrams.
- You are inquisitive, proactive, and analytical.
