Lely Center Farm Management Support (FMS) Advisor – (full-time or part-time)

  • Works closely with Lely Center FMS colleagues, Service Technicians, Sales Advisor, Project Coordinator and Marketing Specialist.
  • Interacts regularly with Cluster FMS department.
  • Part-time and full-time applicants will be considered

The Role:

Our Farm Management Support (FMS) department is growing and we are looking for an additional energetic person to take on the Farm Management Support role to strengthen the team at Lely Center Holsworthy.

The Lely Center FMS Advisor supports farmers throughout Devon & Cornwall in their transition from conventional milking to automatic milking and feeding.

They are responsible for a correct start-up and advise current customers on how to optimise the farm management of their choice by using Lely solutions throughout the customer lifecycle.

Applicant must have experience in farming, a good knowledge of cow health, cow behaviour and feeding as well as good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities: 

Customer interaction & satisfaction

·       Provides before, during and after start-up guidance for robotic milking and/or feeding. Checks the settings in the farm management software before, during and after the start-up period, advises on desired settings and reports. Ensures a smooth transition period and provides the required training to the farmer and farm employees.

·       Candidate should expect to work within the field to support customers, or remotely, using TeamViewer or contact via the phone when providing support, solutions, or any troubleshooting queries.

·       Responsible for providing training to customers on current software use as well as sharing the use and knowledge of up-to-date changes and tools within the system from the Lely cluster to the Lely Center and our customers.

·       Sets goals, and based on those, defines and executes measures to achieve them and gives regular progress reports to the customer. Proactively builds long-term relationships with customers to help them optimise their business in the way they choose through a coaching and advisory role.

·       Participates and shares knowledge during online and in-person customer events and knowledge sessions with the support of the marketing and sales department.

·       Supplying content for our newsletter, testimonials, video clips, webinars, open days, shows, discussion group meetings and networking with third parties.

 Stakeholder management

·       Creates a network of external parties such as veterinarians, feed advisors and other industry partners. Promotes the Lely values to the outside world, provides training, shares information and maintains relationships with industry partners.

 

Candidate Profile:

·       Building relationships

·       Knowledge of automatic milking, feeding, animal health

·       Extensive knowledge of dairy farming and Lely products

·       Commercial mind-set

·       Training skills

·       Empathy

·       Must possess a valid driver’s license

·       Strong communication skills

·       Ability to problem-solve is essential

·       Must be residing in the Devon or Cornwall area

Salary: dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview.
