By kind permission of Giles Dodd and family, we are pleased to announce our open day on Wednesday 9th July!
Will Dodd's and his family have been milking their herd of pedigree Holsteins with the Lely Astronaut since 2015, and feeding with the Lely Vector feeding system since 2023.
On Wednesday the 9th we will have stations around the farm to discuss topics such as:
- Protocols needed for a high yielding robot herd, from Rob George, @Nantwich Vets
- Environmental factors with a robot herd, from Dann Humprey
- Nutrition and 'getting it right' from John Eldrige
- Foot health from Johnny
- Breeding the perfect robot cow
- Milk from forage
- Rearing the next generation - protocols in place to ensure a productive animal
