Data Discipline Architect

Lely is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Discipline Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Data Discipline Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing our data architecture strategy . You will play a critical role in ensuring that our data systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives. Your expertise will contribute to the optimization of our data infrastructure, enabling us to leverage data for innovative solutions in dairy farming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data architecture solutions that support Lely's business goals and technological advancements.
- Drive the Data Product strategy
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data models, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and based on it, create a design of efficient data pipelines, storages and data models.
- Collaborate with senior data engineers to oversee that the designs are correctly implemented in the codebase, to prevent or minimize the code-architecture gap.
- Oversee that processes for data integrity, security, and availability across all data systems are in place and working
- Define and oversee the data quality standards and processes for measuring and improving it.
- Optimize data performance high level and provide recommendations for improvement for the teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and other team members.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data landscape and dairy farming automation and integrate it into our capabilities
Wat is jouw ervaring?
You have a strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and database design. Problem solving and working collaboratively in a team environment are your second nature and by using your strong communication skills you are able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Furthermore:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role, preferably within the automation sectors.
- Prior or current hands-on experience with developing data intensive cloud pipelines and applications and designing and optimizing distributed data storages.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL data management technologies , preferable in Azure Cloud and Databricks.
- Experience with embedded software and data modelling. Solid knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
- Fluent in English (verbal and writing) and you are currently living in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
