Wat is jouw rol?

As an Electronic Architect, you play a key role in the development of the electronic systems behind our robotic platforms. These systems form the foundation of our solutions for applications such as automated milking, feeding, and autonomous mobile robots.

In this role, you are responsible for defining and safeguarding the electronic architecture across multiple product lines. You translate system requirements into robust electronic concepts and ensure that solutions remain scalable, reliable, and future-proof.

You work closely with specialists from different disciplines, including Systems Engineering, Embedded Software, Mechanical Engineering, and Vision & Sensor teams. Through your systems perspective and technical expertise, you help ensure that electronic solutions integrate seamlessly into the overall robotic architecture.

Beyond designing new architectures, you also contribute to strengthening our technology roadmap. You help identify opportunities for common platforms and standards that enable reuse across products and accelerate future innovation.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and further develop the electronic architecture for our robotic platforms and sensor and vision systems
  • Translate system requirements into clear electronic concepts, modules, and interface definitions
  • Evaluate design trade-offs between performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability
  • Guide development teams on technical design decisions and review hardware designs
  • Stimulate standardization and reuse of electronic components and platform concepts
  • Support integration and verification testingplans to ensure reliable system performance in real-world environments

Wat is jouw ervaring?

You are an engineer who enjoys thinking at system level and designing complex technical solutions. At the same time, you like staying close to the technology itself and collaborating with engineers from different disciplines.

You bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in electronic system design or hardware architecture, preferably in a complex technical environment such as robotics, automotive, or industrial automation
  • Broad knowledge of electronic systems, for example in embedded hardware, communication interfaces, sensors, or power electronics
  • The ability to translate system requirements into clear architectural decisions
  • A structured and analytical way of working, combined with strong communication skills
  • Experience with topics such as EMC/EMI, reliability engineering, safety, or hardware validation is a plus. More importantly, we value curiosity, collaboration, and a drive to continuously improve complex systems.
