Wat is jouw rol?

As an Electronics Engineer Driveline Systems, you contribute to the heart of our robotic platforms: the driveline. This technology powers our milking robots and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and plays a crucial role in precision, reliability, and long-term performance in demanding farm environments.

In this role, you work closely with system architects, embedded engineers, and mechanical engineers, as well as with external electronics suppliers who develop motor drive hardware. You help ensure that driveline components,  from motors to controllers, meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements.

You combine hands-on validation with systems thinking. Whether you are validating hardware on the bench, reviewing supplier schematics, or troubleshooting integration issues on a robot, your work directly contributes to safe, robust, and high-performing motion systems.

Your main responsibilities

  • Validating motor drive and power electronics systems through hands-on bench testing and on-robot verification.
  • Ensuring driveline electronics integrate seamlessly into our robotic systems, with attention to power distribution and signal integrity.
  • Translating functional robotic requirements (such as torque, speed, and positioning accuracy) into clear hardware specifications.
  • Collaborating with external suppliers to define, review, and refine technical specifications and interface definitions.
  • Supporting troubleshooting of hardware–software interface issues together with embedded software engineers.

Wat is jouw ervaring?

You are an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of electronics, motion control, and system integration. You combine analytical thinking with a practical, hands-on approach and feel comfortable collaborating across disciplines and with external partners.

You bring:

  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in electronics engineering, preferably within robotics, industrial automation, or driveline applications.
  • A solid understanding of motor control principles, including BLDC and stepper motor drives (inverters, gate drivers, feedback loops).
  • The ability to interpret schematics and PCB layouts and assess alignment with microcontroller platforms (e.g., ST, Infineon, TI).
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as CANopen (CiA 402) and other fieldbus systems.
  • Hands-on experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for debugging and performance verification.
  • A structured and collaborative mindset, with strong problem-solving skills.
